Cardiac Care
When to see a cardiologist
Heart symptoms can feel alarming. Many patients delay seeking care because they are unsure whether their concern is serious enough. If something feels off — even mildly — it is worth discussing with a specialist who can help you understand what is happening.
Chest Pain and Angina
Pressure, tightness, or discomfort in your chest that may spread to your arm, neck, or jaw — especially during physical activity or stress.
Palpitations and Irregular Heartbeat
Sensations of skipped beats, racing, or fluttering in your chest that feel different from your normal heart rhythm.
Shortness of Breath and Easy Fatigability
Finding yourself winded by activities that used to be easy, or needing extra pillows to breathe comfortably when lying down.
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
Consistently elevated blood pressure readings that, if left unmanaged, can strain your heart and damage blood vessels over time.
Coronary Artery Disease and Heart Attack
Narrowing or blockage of the arteries supplying your heart muscle, which may cause chest pain or lead to a cardiac emergency if untreated.
Heart Failure
When your heart cannot pump blood as effectively as it should, causing fluid buildup, swelling, or persistent fatigue that affects daily life.
Atrial Fibrillation and Other Arrhythmias
Abnormal electrical patterns in your heart causing it to beat too fast, too slowly, or irregularly — sometimes without obvious symptoms.
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Thickening of the heart muscle that can affect how well your heart pumps blood and may need monitoring over time.
ECG Abnormalities
Unusual findings on an electrocardiogram discovered during a routine check-up, pre-employment exam, or health screening.
Diabetes and Cardiometabolic Conditions
Managing the connection between metabolic health and your heart — especially important if you have diabetes or risk factors for heart disease.

About Dr. Dalisay
Dr. Aimee Victoria B. Dalisay — known to her patients as Dr. Aims — is a board-certified cardiologist practicing adult cardiology and internal medicine in Metro Manila.
She pursued fellowship training in Adult Cardiology at the Philippine Heart Center — one of the country's premier cardiac institutions — gaining specialized expertise in diagnosing and treating heart conditions across a wide range of complexity.
What draws many patients to Dr. Dalisay is her approach to communication. She believes that understanding your own heart condition should not require a medical degree. She takes time to explain findings in plain language, answer questions thoroughly, and involve both patients and their families in decisions about their care.
Whether through in-person consultations at her Valenzuela clinic or via telemedicine, Dr. Dalisay's goal remains the same: to help each patient feel heard, informed, and supported as they navigate their heart health.
